This wonderful photo of Jessica has just been awarded a Highly Commended Tag in the monthly Society of Portrait and Wedding Photographers awards in the fashion category. The photos was taken at Crow Castle near Llangollen just as the sun had gone down and reminds me of a a statue. It was also rather cold and a bit windy up on the rock and Jessica did a sterling job of remaining focused. The photograph was illuminated with two flash guns, one in front and high of Jessica on a long stand held by what we affectionately call a VAL (voice activated light stand – sound much better than a goffer!) and one behind Jessica to lift her out of the dark background.
I really love the image and I am very pleased that the SWPP found it worthy of a Highly Commended tag.
