Richard and Joanne had a wonderful wedding at the award winning Chester Zoo. Chester Zoo is a wonderful background for a wedding and the kids have lots of things to keep them occupied.

Hannah & James had a wonderful wedding at the Mollington Banastre Hotel just outside Chester with a Chinese theme. Hannah and James both live in China and indeed met and fell in love in China. I also had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Hannah’s sister Angela just over five years ago and it was like meeting old friends – and a  few new ones.

Thank you Hannah and James for choosing me to record your big day it was an absolute pleasure.

I thought I’d look back at some of the venues I’ve worked at in the last 12 months or so with just one picture from each. I have really had the pleasure of working at a lot of Cheshire’s, North Wales and the North West finest venues and have had the privilege of recording some incredible weddings. This job is so much fun and I can’t help smiling when I see the joy and excitement on a couples face.

Storybook albums really do have the wow factor and are a stunning option. When the album has been designed the couple have the opportunity to amend or edit pages and what i am posting now are the couples proofs. I wonder which versions they will choose?

Chris and Kate had a cosy wedding day indoors at the lovely Grosvenor Pulford Hotel. Chris and Kate live in Manchester but Kate is was originally from Shropshire to the Grosvenor was chosen as a wedding venue as it was in the middle. This had many advantages for the couple not least that the wedding lasted a few days with guest staying over for a few nights

All of the photos where taken indoors as the December weather closed in however choosing the Grosvenor Pulford meant that Kate and Chris had loads of photographic opportunities.

The Gap between Christmas and New Year is a very popular time for weddings and I had the privilege of covering Dan & Susan Chee’s wedding which was a little different! The first thing was that the Best man was struck down with the flu and a substitute had to be found on the morning of the wedding lucky Dan has two brothers and one stood in for the photos and the other delivered a very polished speech which was only penned before the wedding breakfast! Not missing a trick the hair and makeup lady was in fact a lawyer!

The Grosvenor Pulford has a really wonderful garden but today it was also a little different as the pond was frozen and the poor swans were left to wander around on the frozen ice. Sadly we had no snow.

Happy New Year and may everyone have a prosperous one. I have had a very busy festive period with a couple of lovely weddings and a few family portraits as the festive period is the often the only time families get together. I’ll share the photos later.

Today I was going to show you the guest picture from the delightful wedding of Daniel & Susan Chee. The guest picture is a bit like a guest book but for the wall!

Gary and Kerry have ordered a lovely Graphi Album with a stunning metallic cover  and metallic pages. I always feel the metallic pages have a real Wow factor and really show off the photographs.

Kerry loves horses – if you look closely you may notice! Kerry and Garry had a lovely church wedding St Mark’s Church in Connor’s Quay, Deeside, North Wales followed by the reception at the stunning Grosvenor Pulford Hotel

just outside Chester.
