Dafydd & Suzanne Wedding at the Franciscan Friary

Dafydd and Suzanne Parry had a glorious day at the Franciscan Friary in Holywell, North Wales with the reception at Brookhouse Mill near Ruthin, in Denbigh North Wales. The Snow Roads 300k Audax

Wedding photography is incredibly tiring, I often wonder why as it is incredible fun! Another thing that I do which is tiring is cycling – it helps keep me fit. Last weekend I rode the Snow Roads Audax from the lovely village of Kirriemuir in the Angus Glens of North East Scotland. The course was a 300KM (185 miles) circular route going over the ski resorts of the Lecht and Glenshee but really the whole route was hilly.

About 30 people took part in the ride and my main memory of the ride are glorious sunshine, hills, magnificent scenery, hills, a suicidal GPS, hills, no traffic, hills, hunger, hills, torrential rain, hills, the highest road passes in the UK, hills, brilliant coffee stops, hills, torrential rain, hills, 80kph decent, hills.

It was a grand day out and after about 16 hours on the bike I was certainly tired – nearly as tired as a 12 hour wedding

Thornton Manor Wedding of Jasmine and John

Last week I was at the stunning Thornton Manor on the Wirral for the wedding of Jasmine and John Rostron. They had a glorious day and a very lively group of guests – I’m sure the evening was incredible fun. Jasmine was truly stunning and a brilliant bride to work with. It was a lovely wedding in beautiful surroundings with a wonderful couple.

Grosvenor Pulford Wedding of Georgina and Stephen

What a wonderful couple! I say this to myself every time I do a wedding and Georgina and Stephen Reddy were no exception and it was a total pleasure to record their big day. They had a beautiful service at St Werburghs Catholic Church in the centre of Chester followed by the reception at my favourite venue – the Grosvenor Pulford on the Cheshire and North Wales border.

Peckforton Castle Wedding of Nicky & Adam

It looks like the weather has finally turned to spring and I had the pleasure of photographing Nicky & Adam Owen’s wedding at the stunning Peckforton Castle last week on a glorious spring day. If you are a fan of football and in particular Scottish football you may spot a couple of legends in the guest photos as well.

I had the pleasure of photographing Nicky as a chief bridesmaid a few years ago and it was lovely to work with her again – and Ruth who was the stunning bride last time was wonderful bridesmaid this time.
