This was my last wedding of a phenomenally busy 2011 and what a wonderful day to finish off the year. Alexander & Louise where married at Louise’s family church, the beautiful St Deiniol’s Church in Hawarden Deeside with a wonderful reception at the five star Grosvenor Hotel in Chester.

Winter has it’s own challenges for wedding photography with very short day and generally poor light levels – sometimes this is made worse by mother nature as in the case of Wes and Fiona, it rained all day… I think the key to having lovely photos in these conditions are dependent on two things. Firstly a wonderful location with indoor opportunities for photos and secondly a photographer who can work and manipulate the light in the often poor indoor conditions. Wes and Fiona chose the venue well – the magnificent Grosvenor Pulford Hotel is brilliant in all weathers  and I’ll leave you to judge on the photos….. Enjoy the photos.

Georgina & Steven had a wonderful wedding at St Werburg’s Church right in the middle of Chester with a lively reception at the stunning Grosvenor Pulford. Georgina and Steven have chosen a Graphi storybook album with metallic paper and the images are the proofs from my first draft. I have added a selection from the 60 page draft. Looking out the window at a grey winters day it is lovely to see the blue sky’s from the glorious late May wedding.

This week post is of Laura and Clare who are both professional dancers. I have known Laura since she was a student at the internationally renowned Hammond School of the performing arts in Chester and she has worked all over the World as a dancer. It was a pleasure to update her CV with some beautiful images.

Rachael and Gregg had a wonderful wedding at the glorious Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spar on the Cheshire and North Wales border. Rachael and Gregg are from the Isle of Mann and had invited all their friends over to the Cheshire country side their wedding I had a lovely day and evening photographing their big day and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking them.

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Tim and Jo’s wedding at the stunning Grosvenor Pulford Hotel. We had a lovely sunny day if a little cold so a lot of the photos where taken indoors. I really like indoor photography it just adds a different dimension to my photography and compliments the outdoor shots. I always like to take the photographs in a variety of locations as keeps people relaxed and when the album is designed makes sure each page is very different and holds peoples attention. Last October I had the pleasure of photographing Natasha & Mat’s beautiful wedding at St Mary’s Church in Pulford on the North Wales and Cheshire border. Here is a selection of the proof pages for the album. Natasha and Mat have chosen around 250 images for the album and I really love (nearly) finished album. It is a Graphi album with a metallic front and pages and will look amazing. Natasha and Mat’s reception was at one of Cheshire’s top wedding venue, The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel. As always at the Grosvenor Pulford the staff looked after Mat & Natasha flawlessly.

Wow what a lovely weekend With lovely sunshine and the daffodils out in full bloom spring feels wonderful and Sarah and Ben picked the finest day of the year so far for their big day. The service was at the futuristic St Columbus Catholic Church in Upton, Chester followed by the reception at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel right on the Welsh border. It was a pleasure to be asked to record Ben & Sarah’s big day. Enjoy the photos.

I’ve got the pleasure of photographing Joanna’s wedding in May and she will be a wonderful subject I always offer a pre wedding bridal shoot to all brides as I think it offers a fun afternoon of photography and also has the additional benefit of relaxing people in front of the camera on their big day – after all the photography should not be one of the things the couple are worried about! Joanna was a wonderful model and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
