It looks like the weather has finally turned to spring and I had the pleasure of photographing Nicky & Adam Owen’s wedding at the stunning Peckforton Castle last week on a glorious spring day. If you are a fan of football and in particular Scottish football you may spot a couple of legends in the guest photos as well.

I had the pleasure of photographing Nicky as a chief bridesmaid a few years ago and it was lovely to work with her again – and Ruth who was the stunning bride last time was wonderful bridesmaid this time.

Nicky & Adam are due to get married in May at the stunning Peckforton Castle near Tarporley in the Cheshire Hills. The wedding will provide some brilliant photographic opportunities with Nicky & Adam – I’ll be sharing the photos from the wedding as soon as they are ready but for now please enjoy the portraits. Storybook albums really do have the wow factor and are a stunning option. When the album has been designed the couple have the opportunity to amend or edit pages and what i am posting now are the couples proofs. I wonder which versions they will choose?

I had the privilege of photographing  Claire wedding early this year at the delightful Peckforton Castle in Cheshire and uploaded the Graphi album a few weeks ago to the blog. Claire came in with one of her brides maids and a close friend for a makeover with a difference – she did her own makeup and her friends. I was really impressed with some of the false eyelashes. Enjoy the images.

A makeover makes a wonderful valentine present if you can’t think of anything and will last a life time.

I have been so busy this summer that i haven’t got around to entering the monthly Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers monthly awards for quite a while and thought I had better enter some this month. These are my enteries and i thought I’d share them with you. Fingers crossed the judges like them.

One of the hardest things about selecting photos for awards is which one! These are all from two weddings from much earlier in the year as I haven’t gone through any recent wedding to select any- that is my next job!

The photos are from Peckforton Castle in Cheshire and the Grosvenor Pulford also in Cheshire – both have amazing photo opportunities and are a pleasure to work in.
