I actually started my photographic career over twenty years ago as a landscape photographer, specializing in mountain photography. The camera was a way to enjoy my love of the great out doors and particular the Scottish Highlands. Gradually over the years I have morphed into a full time wedding photographer moving through many aspects of photography along the way from Dance, Fashion, Model, Portrait, Beauty and Make Over/Boudoir. And have really sort of forgotten about my landscape routes. One thing that always stops me is the weight and size of the Nikon SLR I use for weddings, they are just too big to take for a casual walk! I have often looked for another small camera that would maybe help me find some inspiration in landscapes but have always failed to find one. It been an expensive look as well, I always seem a bit unsatisfied with the results smaller cameras seem to deliver. That is till now. The camera world has moved on and I jumped on the chance of buying a bargain price Fuji Xpro 1, and this little marvel of a camera has proved brilliant for carrying about being small and light yet delivering quality I cannot tell apart from the Nikons I use at weddings. The Fuji is so good I a am thinking of even taking it along to wedding, it is so small light and quite I’m sure in a lot of situations I could get photos I wouldn’t otherwise get.
Anyway back to my landscapes, here are a few images taken with the Fuji XPro 1 when I am out walking the dog on the local Bickerton Hill. It is a true gem of a place and in my part of Cheshire the highest land about. I hope you enjoy something a bit different as much as the little dog enjoys getting out on them there hills.
