This was an amazing day surrounded by amazing people and a total pleasure to Photograph. Rebecca and Michael had an amazing wedding all at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa just outside of the ancient city of Chester on the Welsh border. The Welsh border is the bottom of the garden! This beautiful fairy tail of a wedding took place on the last weekend of March which was a lovely sunny day. Sometimes I am never sure when summer is in the UK, we seem to have as many nice days in the off season than in the hight of summer!
I’ll start the blog with one from the end. This wedding photograph for me anyway is just beautiful. Rebecca and Michael are so in love and haven’t a care in the world. The black and white also looks timeless. A simple but beautiful portrait from a magical wedding.
All the little details that make up a perfect day.I wonder how many women hours went into choosing every little item.
Kids! This one is enjoying the freedom of the Grosvenor Pulford.
A Photo says a 1000 words someone once said. And I wonder what this little lady is thinking. She was totally unaware of me standing near her and taking a few wedding photographs as she gazed on at all the dresses. I swapped to smaller, quieter, less ‘in your face’ Fuji mirrorless cameras this year and have found it much much easier to capture these little candid moments that make up the intricate detail of a beautiful wedding.
Transformation. From little monsters to beautiful princesses. How gorgeous are the bridesmaid? I love the little red flower details on the dresses.
The Power and the Glory.Arriving at the Grosvenor Pulford in style. The Horse and Carriage is as timeless as weddings I am sure.
They really are massive animals. The is something special about horses, they have been such servants for man for so long the is a very special bond. I must admit I find them a bit scary close up – those hooves could do some damage!
The long wait. It a ritual that entertains everyone except the Groom and Best Man as every person in the room looks on at them waiting for the door to swing open and the bride to glide up the aisle.
I love this one. It one of my favourites from a beautiful wedding at the Grosvenor Pulford. Micheals expression says it all.
Lets seal it with a kiss.
And now for the paperwork.
Beautiful. The little girl spent ages collecting the petals.
It more violent than it looks. The confetti gets everywhere.
Together time. One disadvantage of a civil service is the couple have no time for just the two of them, sneaking off in a rather romantic horse and carriage solves this little problem rather elegantly.
How beautiful is the Grosvenor Suite when it is set for a wedding?
Gone with the wind 🙂 On the bridge in the garden of the Grosvenor Pulford. The dress just flows.
The Garden at the Grosvenor Pulford is spectacular.this is a wider shot from the one above but the couple have hardly moved. And the first daffodils are making an appearance to add a certain spring like vibrancy to the photographs.
Spontaneity.That is one fine dress.
The Troops. These are the people who make up your day, your closest friends.
Back in (pitch) Black. In March it goes dark rather early but nothing stops wedding photography and the dark gives more opportunities to be creative.
The Oriental Garden at the Grosvenor Pulford even looks good in the dark. And with a few lighs dotted around you can still see these amazing gardens with the waterfall in the distance.
A stunning bride and a beautiful person.
And in colour. The flowing veil looks splendid against the inky darkness.
Wedding Photography at the Grosvenor Pulford. It really is a stunning venue.
An amazing dress and a beautiful backdrop. The mirror at the Grosvenor Pulford must be one of the most photographed wedding backdrops in Cheshire!
And a touch less colour,
The First Dance and let the party begin.
Fireworks! A lovely end to the day, for me at least. I’m sure the party was just getting started as I left.
The caption says it all
I had a fantastic day at Michael and Rebecca’s fantastic Cheshire Wedding at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa. It was a fairy-tail and a pleasure to be involved with it.
I hope you have enjoyed reading the blog. And I trust you have enjoyed a peek into a very special wedding.
Thats all for now and thank you for taking the time to look at my wedding photography.
