Well what a day and what a wedding. I had the pleasure of photographing Garry and Sarah at the Adobe Hotel slap bang in the middle of the Roman town of Chester, and what a spot over looking the racecourse. Garry and Sarah were so much fun to work with a truly lovely couple and here are their photos from a magical day. If you would prefer a slide show you can find one here.
I will start the blog with a late evening photograph of the summer sun disappearing behind the Cheshire Skyline. A wonderful end to a most amazing wedding day at the Abode Hotel in the centre of Chester. It used to be the Police station of all things but is now a quality hotel overlooking the racecourse. I have been told it is rather busy come race day and many a local celebrity has one of the apartments in the building.
Sarah and her girls on the morning of the wedding. I love the black and white photograph of a very pensive looking bride. A magical fairytail is about to start.
Those little moments captured in time. Wedding photography holds so many memories.
A car fit for a Princess. A stunning white Rolls, now that how you arrive in style.
A flowing dress (it was blowing a gale!) and the most stunning of brides.
All the love in the world to share on a beautiful wedding day.
We have just gone and got married, blooming hell you and I are we 🙂 Wedding day bliss.
A very contempory Abode Hotel is a perfect backdrop to the wedding.
This is the back of the Abode, with a fanfare of guests arriving.
A very very happy Groom. What a wonderful wedding.
I love this one, Sarah’s dress is magical and magnificent and she looks every inch the model bride. A beautiful lady. A beautiful wedding.
The girls having a relax!
A cheeky one, and one of the few places out of the gale force wind!
A superwide fisheye view of the entourage in front of the hotel.
The Abode is right next to Chester Racecourse and a theme of horses and riders is all around the hotel, mingles with 80s pop stars. It works wonderfully.
The Roodee, once the port of Chester but after the river silted up it is now one of the leading racecourses in the country. And just look at the view from the balcony of the Abode Hotel. I was amazed how leafy and green Chester is from higher up. And in the distance you can see the Welsh Hills.
And it looks amazing in black and White also.
I love this, so intermit.
The Abode has an amazing aspect which fitted in perfectly with my most beautiful of brides. What a pleasure it was to photograph Sarah on her big day. AMAZING.
What beauty. A surreal wedding photograph taken high above Chester in the Abode Hotel.
The end of a fantastic day. I loved working with Sarah and Gary they were fantastic. And I loved the Abode, a new venue for me but hopefully one I’ll be back to before too long.
May I thank Sarah and Garry for employing me on their rather amazing wedding day and giving me the privilege of recording a fantastic event. It was an amazing day.
And thank you for reading my words and taking the time to look at the photographs.
