Happy New Year everyone and what a wonderful year 2015 was and 2016 has just began. One thing I need to do in 2016 is catch up with my blog, I have so many amazing weddings to share and this one is a beauty from back in May 2015! Yes I am that far behind with the blog..
Rachel and Ian were a fantastic couple to work with and I had a ball working with them and their fun loving wedding entourage at one of the top wedding venues in Cheshire the glorious Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, and if you are not getting married the food is amazing at the Grosvenor! I am lucky enough to be recommended at this fantastic hotel. It is always humbling when somewhere as classy, contemporary and forward thinking likes what you do enough to recommend you.
Back to the fantastic couple, Rachel and Ian on their big day. It was a fantastic wedding starting off at the beautiful St Mary’s Parish Church just a hop skip and a jump from the Grosvenor Pulford and finishing off with a bang! I have done the blog slightly different this time actually sharing a few of the Graphi Album (storybook) pages as well as stand alone images. A bit of wedding variety. Enjoy.
Now this is a fantastic way to finish off a weddin with a BANG! It was a stunning display and a lovely mild evening to enjoy the celebrations.
And a fine way to start the day with a dapper group of Grooomsmen all set for a fantastic wedding.
The girls and the boys getting ready for the big day. I love all the fun and excitement of the wedding morning, intermingled with a few nerves. This picture is a page from the Graphi wedding album.
A short walk down what must feel like a very long path way to meet her Prince Charming. Rachel and Ian had a utterly fantastic wedding and for the first time in years I was allowed to photograph inside the Church as the grumpy Vicar had left!
St Mary’s is a beautiful Church, and has seen many a weddings in it long and illustrious history. It is built from the local Sandstone, maybe it is living in Chester for so long but I really love teh look of Sandstone. Not quite as much as the Granite of my home town. Not yet anyway!
Signing the register. That it we two are one.
How posh is this car? A stunning Roll Royce.
I don’t normally add group shots to the blog but I always take a few, I believe these photos will bring back a lot of memories in years to come. On a wedding it important to balance the time for photography and group shots if not done efficiently can take up a lot of time.
A more formal group. How cute are the kids? This was taken in the ‘English’ Garden of the Grosvenor Pulford. You know you are spoilt when the wedding venue has two gardens.
The wedding breakfast. A fisheye lens fills the wedding picture with guests
The wedding speeches. Fun, serious, jovial and touching all at the same time.
Back in the gardens. I love the moody sky.
The people closest to the couple and a lovely image for the wall. The Wedding Entourage, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen.
And the stars.
One of Cheshire’s finest Gardens?
The is a beautiful reflections in the lake, fish joining in and a grey and moody sky over head. Who needs blue skies for a bit of drama.
And lets finish the blog post with the first dance. And just look how much fun Ian and Rachel are having. They are having a ball.
It was a truly fantastic wedding to be part of, working with two people totally in love on their big day. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I get to shoot weddings for a living. The can’t be a many jobs were you get to share so much emotion on one fine day.
Thank you Ian and Rachel for employing me to photograph your big day, it was a pleasure. Have a fantastic life together.
See you all soon.
