This was my first wedding adventure of 2016 up in the snow bound Scottish Uplands at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel and the adjacent Dryburgh Abbey, and what an amazing first wedding of 2016 it was. Blizzards, sub zero temperatures and very few hours of daylight had no effect on the sheer enthusiasm and warmth of a fantastic couple, Amy and Chris. Amy had the wellies colour coordinated with the flowers and just smiled through the weather. And the entourage were superb, I couldn’t really have asked for a finer group of people to kick 2016 off with. It still makes me laugh watching the Grooms-men laying out hundreds of candles in the snow when slightly under the influence! A fantastic day with fantastic people and here is a little slide show with a few of my favourite photos.
This is my second visit to the stunning Dryburgh Abbey Hotel to photograph a Scottish Wedding, it truly is a magnificent location and the photographic opportunities are magnificent. I must make the trip up and relax for the weekend at this delightful spot.
Thank you for taking the time to view the photographs, winter photography in the cold and dark has many challenges, however I feel it has more opportunities. And hopefully you will agree after spending a few minutes looking at the variety of the images.
See you all again soon.
