I had a ball and I was just taking the snaps!! What a perfect wedding and I had the privilege of documenting this fine day. Kane and Kate tied the knot at a beautiful outside wedding service on the shores of Loch Ard and in the shadow of the most romantic of Scottish Mountains the might Ben Lomond. Here are the photos from a fantastic day at the sublime Altskeith House or if you want to see them as a slide show click here.
Lets start the blog with this amazing backlight shot of Kane and Kate, a beautiful sun silhouettes a filmstar couple on the bonny bonny banks of Loch Ard. The sun shimmering off the water just adds a special touch. Gods light at it best in the golden hour just before sunset.
Back at the beginning and Kate and the girls are getting ready for a rather fantastic wedding. I think by the looks of it some of the flower-girls are already planning their own wedding.
A lovely montage of Katy getting ready, I think this series of wedding photos shoes the emotion and laughter and magic of the wedding.
The wedding day flowers. These are simply beautiful and perfect for an outdoor summer wedding in the Scottish Highlands. Neither Late or Kane are Scottish but they have fell in love with this most romantic and stunning of countries.
Kane strides out, rather keen! He is even waiting before the guests have arrived and looks pretty relaxed as he gets ready for the biggest day in his life. We I becomes we.
Meanwhile Kate looking amazing in a sweeping wedding dress makes her way down stairs to be met by her Father. The tears and joy of seeing your daughter ready to get married. Those emotions are beautiful, they make the day.
Meanwhile the guests have arrived and the waiting has began. The lads look incredibly relaxed prior to the wedding. Or is the laughter an easy way to cover up wedding day nerves. And what a setting for the wedding, under a beautiful tree in the stunning grounds of Altskieth House.
And here comes the girls, and we get a wide sweeping shot of the venue. A beautiful wedding venue surrounded by mountains and Lochs. The Copper Beech tree is stunning location for the wedding.
Kate making her grand appearance along the shores of Loch Ard. Kane and the wedding guests waits in anticipation for a beautiful bride.
I loved the service, it isn’t legal to do a wedding properly outdoors in England which I think is rather a shame. And what a beautiful wedding service.
Fun and laughter and the deed is done. Kate and Kane are married.
Sealed with a kiss.
Confetti, one of the rituals of a wedding and much more violent than it looks!
The girls having a bit of fun, in fun. In fact I have no idea what they are doing but keep taking wedding photos! I love the dresses, all subtly different and so glamourous. Ben Lomond is the mountain in the background.
The Wedding Entourage on the little river that runs through the garden of Altskieth House. I think they look rather cool!
Kate and Kane below a white hot Scottish sun. A perfect blue sky overhead and a slight breeze! Being a Scot I can confirm that every day in Scotland isn’t like this. Kate looks amazing.
The speeches. A fun time, a nervous time. Part of the wedding day. And just look at the backdrop. A perfect picture window.
A setting sun breaks through the trees and casts a golden light across the lawn. What a perfect wedding day.
Katy. Beautiful. And what a backdrop. A most stunning bride surrounded by natures beauty.
Glamourous. Amazing dress amazing bride on a perfect wedding day.
The beautiful Katy, Loch Ard, Ben Lomand, a setting sun, a perfect blue sky. You really couldn’t make up a better scenario.
On the shores of Loch Ard. A stunning couple.
Black and White has a magic, it captures emotions and feelings. It also captures an amazing Scottish backdrop. Ben Lomond stands guard over the whole scene.
This is one of my favourites from the whole wedding, a different lens gives a different prospective as Ben Lomond is drawn much closer to Kate and Kane.
One maybe for the wall?
I love this, Kate and Kane playing on the banks of Loch Ard.
Party time, and it was one hell of a party.
Kate giving it large. The band were amazing.
Guests having fun.
Kate and Kane doing things I do not understand but make me laugh 🙂 What a fantastic wedding.
And for me this is a perfect way of finishing off the blog, Kate and Kane walking along the shores of Loch Ard. A beautiful day.
It was an amazing pleasure photographing Kate and Kane in Bonny Scotland on the banks of Loch Ard. They were a total joy to work with and had a fantastic day. Thank you for employing me and thank you for all your friends and family for making me feel so at home.
What a perfect day.
And thank you for reading the blog, it can’t be easy understanding my prose.
Till next time.
