I thought I’d share some of my favourites and also a behind the scenes shot of a hard working best man in action from Jeff and Michelle’s wonderful wedding at St’ Denials Church in Hawerden North Wales followed by a fantastic reception at my favourite venue the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa.
The first image I have chosen is in the doorway of the St’ Denials Church in Hawerden, this Church is really a wonderful piece of architecture and I love the texture of the sandstone blocks on the photographs. This wedding photograph has a vintage finish and I really love the muted colours.
And now to a hard working best man, Craig is holding the main light as I try to get detail into a very stormy sky. Michelle and Jeff are also illuminated with two additional flashguns one behind them to try and lift them out of the background which was getting a bit dark by then and one to even up the main flashgun that Craig is holding. This image is directly from the camera.
And here is the final image with a very moody sky and a lovely reflection in the water. The photograph was taken in the stunning Oriental Garden of the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel just after a storm had passed over which left a very melancholy sky. I really like the drama added by the storm. I always think a few clouds add a lot of drama, even to a perfect blue sky. Unfortunately in the UK we often just get the grey sky….
Enjoy the photos and I’ll blog this wedding as soon as I can. Enjoy the photos.
