I had an amazing day at Soughton Hall photographing the amazing wedding of Lyndsey and Ian. And what a wedding they had in one of the finest country houses you could imagine. Soughton Hall looks like a film set for a period drama. The opulence and finery is amazingly comfortable and relaxing. And the drive way is the perfect entrance. A truly magnificent venue. Add to this singers, dancers and the guests really taking on board the Great Gatsby theme and a truly magical day ensured. I’ll blog the whole wedding later but I though I’d share a few now. Normally with such a fine and magnificent building the beautiful house is a perfect backdrop, and it is and I took many wonderful images to show this off but these are from a dark corner of the garden. Just a bit different to add contrast. How amazing it must of been to be a child growing up in Soughton Hall.
This little building, I have no idea what it is for, I thought would be a wonderful photographic backdrop and the daffodils and snowdrops look like a painting in the shadows of the trees around sunset. You can just about see the sky turning orange in the background. I love the way the trees envelop the little building. and the snowdrops seem to go on for ever. It reminds me of a fairy-tail. And just how amazing do Lyndsey and Ian look. An incredible couple on their amazing wedding day at one of the North Wales finest venues.
A little bit closer. To show off Lyndsey’s amazing wedding dress and the deep blue Spring sky. Now you would think with the daffodils and sunshine it would of been a very warm day, in fact it was rather cold particularly in the woods. But Lyndsey and Ian never complained once, particularly Lyndsey I’m sure that wedding dress isn’t the warmest outfit.
And just to show the front of this amazing hall, Soughton Hall is the perfect backdrop for this contemporary shot of the entourage. And look at the sky, wall to wall blueness above North Wales and the sun is just setting with a golden glow across the manicured lawns of this fine estate.
Thank you for taking the time to have a peek at this magnificent wedding. I will try and post a few more photos and a slide show very very soon. And a special thank you to Lindsey and Ian for employing me to document your wedding day.
See you all soon.
