Wow what a pleasure to be part of Kelly and Richards big day on the stunning Isle of Anglesey. The service was held in the 14th Century Church of St Mary’s in the picturesque village with the very French sounding name of Beaumaris. Beaumaris is most famous for it castle and it has such a French sounding name as it was built by French work man commissioned by Edward the 1st as a defensive Castle. I imagine the stunning Church could tell a few stories but none more beautiful than my bride of the day Kelly.
After an amazing wedding service in the Church they happy couple had a beautiful reception back at the Bulkley Hotel which is only a few hundred meters from the Castle. The Hotel has a wonderful setting looking out over the Menai Straits to the mountains of Snowdonia and also to the town where Kelly and Richard live.
The beautiful Bride Kelly getting ready in the morning,
I really like the ‘action’ in this photograph, bridesmaids getting ready in the morning is seldom quite and this was no exception!
The men outside the thirteenth century Church of St Mary’s at Beaumaris. I wonder how many love stories this church has witnessed?
Kelly making her way down the stairs and having a last glance in the mirror as her proud father looks on. It a big day seeing your daughter down the aisle.
Stunning. Not a lot more to say about Kelly on her special day.
In the Church Richard waits with his two best men, I imagine the minutes last a long time at the business end of the aisle!
What an amazing theatre the Church is, full of drama, love, life and history but for real. Kelly walking into the Church under the massive arches.
And down the aisle on her wonderful wedding day Kelly goes.
What an historic backdrop for the wedding. The minister on the day was a total pleasure to work with also. It nice when photography is allowed in church.
A partneship for life sealed with a kiss in front of friends and family. A wedding is a wonderful day and such a privilege to be a part of.
Kelly and Richard look wonderful framed in the doorway. Kelly’s dress is a work of art and really suits her.
I really love this photo taken on the pier at Beaumaris, all the men are there including the fathers. The little page boy was not camera shy!
And this is one old letter Richards brother has dug up to embarrass him with. The best men did a brilliant job of balancing the speeches.
The speeches are a highlight of a wedding and you can see the fun Kelly and Richard are having. I think Richard may be the victim in a bit of gentle humour!!
The Bulkley Hotel has a large and very airy function room with a massive window looking out over the Menai Strait to the Welsh Mountains.
A lovely big sky as all the men and Kelly pose in front of the distance Welsh Mountains.
Let hear it from the girls – I love the bright colours of the wedding dresses. Kelly looks in charge!
A close up of Kelly and Richard with the Menai Strait in the background. What a good looking couple.
This one is a bit dark and moody, I wanted to create something a bit different using the stone circle on the front at Beaumaris.
Kelly and Richard looking very relaxed. The Welsh mountains are a wonderful backdrop.
I posted this image on my Facebook page and it received a massive amount of views. Lovely sky. It was cloudy most of the day but cleared up perfectly for us later on.
Wow what a model bride against a big sky. I love this image and Kelly really looks amazing.
How relaxed is this, shoes off and at peace looking out at the mountains. I’m sure a nice paddle in the sea would of been in order.
Richard and Kelly look so in love, like a pair of stars from a Hollywood blockbuster.
And what a fitting picture to end the blog on. Love it.
